The BL3 B/B has the advantage of providing 3 dB gain of
omnidirectional pattern over a dipole with 3 mhz band width.

These features make it suitable for both simplex or duplex operation.

Previously to obtain this amount of gain with sufficient band width required for duplex operation the installer would have to supply a phased array, this combination is both costly and requires a large amount of valuable tower space for mounting.

The BL3 B/B overcomes the above problems and offers other
advantages, it is light weight, has a low wind loading and is pre tuned to frequency, it is also cost effective.

The radome casing is of marine grade fibreglass and the mounting pole galvanized for longevity, all internal components are of Mil specifications.
